darktable software package provides virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install darktable
darktable is installed in your system.
Make ensure the darktable package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep darktable *
You will get with darktable package name, version, architecture and description in a table
